Life in Delhi!

The marvelous richness of human experience on earth would indeed lose something of rewarding joy if we do not hold on to the tremendous experience of our every daily learning progress. To get the best out of life, it is essential to live and not merely exist because life has a lot of happiness to offer, wherein the shades of sorrow only to add the brilliance of nature in its full bloom. To me a picture of many faces we see on the road is in itself a mirror to the unique order of the wellspring of god that unites to form this world of reasons and mixed emotions.
            To evaluate nature’s perspective from my point of view, a journey down the Delhi road would give a somewhat broad view of the splendors and beauty of this world of people. See, a class of people ranging from he lowest section of society to hat of the most sophisticated upper community. As I take a routine walk down the bus stop on a blistering Sunday afternoon, everything is quite and desolate. Customary though, the stench of sweat hangs thick in the air as dripping wet faces anxiously search the distance for a glimpse a long over due buses. Gearing up the front are the two-wheelers, splitting scooters, but undoubtedly the trusty steeds of the lower-middle class, loaded sometimes with as many as four passengers. Sleek bikes zoom passed me with throbbing energy, that sometimes brings to mind “the street hawk brilliance – it reminds me Aizawl, but these awesome bikes do also have a certain aura of magnetism that attracts the girls. Right? Huh!
            Anyway, after them comes an assortment of four wheelers. These come in all shapes and sizes. A maruti zips by effortlessly revealing a sober, bespectacled middle-age man at the wheel, engrossed in deep thoughts. Close at the heels is a stately chauffeur-driven contessa. Through the dark tinted glasses, I saw a plump jeweler clad, heavily made-up woman, in a world of her own, least bothered about the everyday trails and contributions, mulling over the previous nights party in the comfortable air-conditioned interior of the car. Through the windows the battered old ambassador, chugging along driven by a jovial looking man, I spot a group of frivolous children laughing and joking. The likely parents seated in the front, least bothered about the noisy tantrums made by the children, are engrossing in their own merry talks.
Stinky and sweaty bodies pushed past me as a Bus lumbers up to a halt at the stop. The Bus is a hub of activity, and a steady hum of chatter emanates from within, rising above the engines notes and shouting of the conductors, as he solicits passengers. The faces peering from the windows ranges from a shabby, unkempt slum-dwellers to that of a trendy, jean clad college student- the whole gamut of social classes. As the rumbles away on the veritable flood of activity; and behind him peace reigns as the Officers stern hand goes up.
            To me, each of these faces represents a world- a unique world of their own struggling to exist in its strategies and mercies. Each face strives to fulfill its aspiration, dreams in its eyes. Each has its own niche in the society in which it fits in a manner none other can. To me, each face is lighted with a feeling of rejuvenated hope, a sense of purpose and security, and the beauty of nature in its full splendors is highlighted here in the many faces which brings to mind the different colors of life united together to strive for a better tomorrow, a better place, a better life, and a better world.
